A NOTE FROM pastor tim

Thank you for your patience during the Covid-mandated move outdoors. It was a joy for a season both to worship in God’s creation and to be all together in one service. The Red-Letter Challenge was also a wonderful time to worship at one time together. After celebrating Easter Sunday, we have returned to offering two different service times and styles. Our traditional service will be at 8:15 am and our contemporary service will be at 10 am. More service times mean our services fit into more people's schedules, and more styles mean more people can worship in the “language” of their hearts. We look forward to the day we can offer more times and more languages!

Our new service times are experimental. Our elders and staff have scheduled these services to meet as many needs as possible and to provide a smooth experience on Sunday morning for our guests as well as our ministry team. As we begin these new service times we invite and encourage your feedback: do you feel comfortable inviting your friends? Are we creating the smooth and orderly Sunday experience for which we are striving? Let us know!

We also know that many have expressed how much they love connecting with people from another service. As we move to two services we have three tools to help our church grow closer as it grows larger: First is our small groups, everyone there will know your name, regardless of which service you attend. The second is our soon to return hospitality time. Why not come early or stay late and enjoy cross-service fellowship? Finally, why not volunteer at one service and attend the other?

In Christ,

Pastor Tim

Sundays we invite you to join us for our worship inside our Sanctuary for our Traditional Service at 8:15 am and Contemporary Service at 10 am.

We encourage you to invite your family and friends, and while wearing your mask, join your brothers and sisters in Christ for a responsible social distance worship experience!

Although we encourage you to join us in person, if you are unable to join us in person, we encourage you to watch the Facebook Live streaming of both services. Our weekly Zion Buzz newsletter will have a copy of the order of service with the words to the liturgy, scriptures, songs, and prayers so that you can follow along with us in worship.  If you are not receiving the Buzz, email the church office at church@zionanaheim.org

Zion serves Communion on the 1st & 3rd Sunday of the month at our in-person service. However, we also remain available to provide “touchless” communion to you at your home. Simply request a kit through the church office or click here to sign up for an @Home Communion Kit.
