I am excited to invite you and your child to our First Communion Class.  Zion Lutheran School is dedicated to nurturing Christian faith in our young people and their families. To this end, we offer an early communion class in fourth grade.  I truly believe that communion is one of the greatest gifts God has given to strengthen our faith and once we understand it, there is no reason not to receive it regularly. In our class the students will learn about God’s love for them, and specifically what it means to take communion.

All fourth-grade students will take the class during school hours weekly from January through March. They will then be given the opportunity to take communion for the first time at the Palm Sunday Service on April 13th 2025 at 8:30 am.

We will have parent meetings on January 21st and April 6th for parents of students who wish to take their first communion with us.  The meetings will take place after the 10:10 am service at 11:30am.
