"I always knew I wanted to be a teacher, even when I was very young. I enjoy helping children learn and grow. I went to California State University, Fullerton and have been teaching for over 20 years at Zion. When I am not teaching, I am busy with my family. I love watching my son, Logan, play baseball and like to see my daughter, Julia, in her dance recitals. I have been married to my husband Craig for over 19 years and our family is proud to be a part of the Zion Family"

  • Mrs. Nina Lutz

I am so pleased to have been part of the staff at Zion ECEC since early 2019 and am currently the afternoon teacher of the Pre-Kindergarten class. Preparing these children to eventually enter kindergarten is a job I love! Most of all, I aim to stress the importance of their relationship with Jesus and that He loves them unconditionally.

I attended Lutheran schools growing up, and going into Lutheran education was something I'd had a yearning for, even from a very early age.  I trained to be an elementary teacher and taught in Lutheran elementary schools for many years. However, I found myself more interested in the younger child and gradually switched over to preschool teaching after attending school for it. And I really love it!

My home and family are very dear to me. My husband Alan and I have been married for over 40 years and we have two grown children, Ryan and Kristiana. In my time away from school, I enjoy gardening, reading, taking online classes, and watching British series and old movies.  My 3 cats and dog are a vital part of my life, too-can't imagine life without pets!!!
